It's a bit difficult to keep track of all social media these days, which I why these days I have retreated somewhat back to my blog of old. It's a bit of strange place, but it's very me. It's at www.nomenloony.com should you want a look. It supports Disqus comments which is a thing, apparently.

As for those of you who haven't seen me for a while, well, I've lost a hell of a lot of pies. I was almost a 44" waist when I started and I'm now a 36" waist. My chest has shrunk by 4".

Weight, well that started at around 113kg and is now hovering around the mid 80's mark. I keep this image easy to find just to remind me to not be a fat bastard again.

The photo on the left was me at my fattest - August 2017.

On the right was last September, just after I bought my rather splendid and not slightly kinky PVC suit from ASOS. I bought a 36" waist (not through choice but because it was the biggest size they had).

I'll be wearing it this week for Rocky Horrors if any of you guys are going there.

In other news, well I'm now in THREE bands.

Face The Music - the covers band and the one that makes the money. I've been with them since 2014, just after Dad died; and we're going from strength to strength. We ditched our agent last December and started taking our own bookings. The rates have increased, the bookings have increased slightly, and more importantly; the ridiculously shit loads have stopped because we can now refuse them. There is nothing more awful than a first floor load with a full PA and lights, up a steel fire escape, in Winter, in the North East. Dreadful!

Ethryll (pronounced Eh thrill) is the folk band. For a hobby project we've actually done really well. We don't generally aim straight at gigs, but more sort of meander around blindly until someone says "want a gig?" and we go "OK". That's the band I'm in with Hannah and our old piano/keys player from when I was in Manning. The sound guy from Face The Music also plays guitar with us. See. It's complicated.

The final band, Strangefish, is my big new project. They've been around a while and have three albums recorded. It's Prog Rock, and it's something I actually like. I've been a fan of the band for many years and when I received a phone call out of the blue last November I was somewhat taken aback. Their bassist had decided to call it a day, and they were just "wondering if... perhaps... maybe...". We won't be doing loads of gigs a year, but you can stick Saturday 6th July in your diaries as a date to remember, as we're playing at Local Authority (the white bit of Corp).

Ask me about tickets...

Well that's pretty much all there is to say; oh except also to remind you guys HANNAH AND I HAVE BEEN MARRIED 14 YEARS!!! It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. Frightening eh?
